Deceive, or Not Deceive

Take the fake, these false facades, that fathered; fostered sins of men

Strip away deceptive fray, diversion, and all discretion

Peel and peel until revealed is that which we all want to know

Showing all the once concealed, the real that gossips tend to grow

What lies there so under care?

I long to see what’s underneath

Don’t you dare make them aware!

The sword is slipping from its sheath

There will be, for you and me, a day that comes of reckoning

If true of heart you have achieved, it’s light that you’ll be beckoning

Throw a row, it’s different though, the darkness will descend, believe

Remember this when you decide: to tell the truth, or to deceive?
