Why I Will Never Give Up

There are times in our lives when we stop and ask…”what am I doing?” We wonder what life has in store for us next. We go to school, we get a job, we go out, get married, raise a family, and so on. Always wondering what’s next. Life, as it is, doesn’t have to be as hard as we make it. No, not at all. It’s really quite simple. Ask yourself what you want. Really: what do you want? Do you want a wife? A house? A job?

Figure that out. Then, the easy part. How do I obtain what I want? Bam. There you have it. Your formula for success. Do whatever it is you need to do to obtain that goal. In my case, I know I want to build my mother a reading sanctuary. So I spend all of my time working towards that goal. And I’ll continue to do so until I make that happen. That’s why I write so often.

I realized this months ago, when my mother passed away. That was the slap in my face. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do in life and no clue where I was going. Now, I know exactly what I want, and how I intend to get there. I know that if I continue to spend hours in my craft here, writing, just as I am at this very moment, that things will work out. Because that’s how simple this world really is.

Find out what you’re passionate about. Search for your meaning, your purpose, and then relentlessly chase it. If you have the drive, and you have the will, everything else will fall into place.

I promise.
