Life Flitters By

But Mom!

Says the little girl, pouting about

To the woman,

Who feels left than thirteen

‘Twas Tom!

The girl cries, as she wrestles and shouts

Pulling hair

As she’s acting so mean

Have I grown?

Asks the mother, all riddled and scared

To herself,

For yesterday seems

Like she was

Just the poor little girl in this poem

Who’s pulling

Her hair while she screams.
