You Can’t Please Everyone

Live, and laugh, and love they say!

Don’t ever wear a frown

But let’s be real, sometimes we feel

Our smiles upside down

It does not matter what you do

Nor what you’ve done before

There will be, always, one of them

Who drags you to the floor

One person who just won’t believe

That goodness, you have brought

Ironically it’s mostly ‘cause

Their own life matters not

It does not matter to themselves

So then they wish on you

To share their melancholy days

And all their sad boo-hoo

So if you’re good, and ever should

Feel low because of some

Do not regret, and don’t forget

You can’t please everyone
